“A Small Act of Kindness Can Change a Life”
Introduction: In a tranquil Mexican beach at night, a man saw someone duly pick up beach littered with stranded starfish before dashing back into the sea. There were thousands of starfish on the shore, but the man kept on helping the starfishes, for he believed that even one life was worth saving.
Story:
* At sunset, my friend was strolling down a lonely Mexican beach.
* Suddenly, he noticed a man in the distance. As he approached, he saw the local native continued to lean down and pick up something and throw it out into the water.
* Time and again he kept hurling things out into the ocean.
* As my friend came closer and closer, he noticed the man picking up starfish washed up on the beach,
* And, one at a time, he was throwing them back into the water
* My friend was puzzled . He went up to the man and said. Good evening, pal, what are you up to?
* I'm throwing these little starfish back into the sea, you see, its low tide right now, and all of these starfish have been washed up on the beach, and if I don't throw them back into the sea, they'll die up here without oxygen.
* “Yes, ‘cause I understand,” my friend responded, “but there has to be thousands of
This beach is home to starfish. You can’tpossibly get to all of them. But there are too many of these. But do you know this is likely to be occurring on hundreds of beaches all along this coast. Can’t you see that you can’t possiblymake a difference?”
* The local native smiled, bent down and picked up yet another starfish, and as he threw it back intothe sea, he replied, “Made a difference to that one!”
✨Moral of this story: “It takes a lot of little things to make a big difference.”
💡Life Lesson of the Story: We can't do everything for everybody but we can do something for someone. It could be anything, but if it's done with sincerity, it can make a difference. Rather than dwell on the things we cannot change, let's focus on the positive difference we can make with the opportunity that we have.
